  • What is the BWBL?
    The Brandon Women’s basketball league organizes and operates organized basketball seasons in both spring and fall each year since 2012. The league is for women run by women! Games are scheduled for Wednesday evenings at a local gymnasium here in Brandon, Manitoba. Registration is available to all women of all skill levels. The objective of the BWBL is to get active, have fun, and meet new people.
  • Where do we play?
    Games are played at Earl Oxford School in the gymnasium (at the corner of 18th Street and Victoria Ave in Brandon, MB).
  • When does the league operate seasons?
    BWBL runs each year from February to April/May. The exact dates and times may vary.
  • How much does it cost?
    Registration Cost may vary from year to year as the league grows and operating costs change. The fee covers advertising, gym facilities, referee costs, insurance policy, a jersey for each player.
  • Do I register as a player or can I register a team?
    Players register as individual players. On the registration form, the players rate themselves based on their past/current basketball experience, as well as the current physical condition and general fitness level. The league organizers will then organize the teams to be as fair and even as possible.
  • How many teams are there?
    Based on registration numbers, the league usually hosts 3-5 teams of at least 10-12 players per team.
  • Where do I register?
    ONLINE: You can register online by visiting the REGISTRATION PAGE. To pay your registration fee, you can send a cheque or e-transfer to the league organizer (Brady Penner).
